Ovie made the step up to under-23 football last term, playing eight times in Premier League 2, and also turning in some standout performances for the under-21s in the Papa John’s Trophy.
He was the hero in the penalty shoot-out win against Ipswich Town and impressed throughout the campaign with quick reflexes and sound distribution.
Ovie spent the first half of the 2022/23 season on loan at National League South side Chelmsford City, where he made 23 appearances in all competitions before heading to Finland with SJK Seinajoki for the remainder of the campaign.
