A powerful and composed centre-back, Omar developed well in his first full season in north London.
Though born in the Netherlands, Omar is a senior Tunisia international, making his debut in June 2021, and featured for his country at the 2022 Africa Cup of Nations, helping them to the quarter-final.
Previously with Feyenoord, Manchester City, PSV, Marseille and Hertha Berlin, the defender spent the first half of the 2022/23 season at Eredivisie club Sparta Rotterdam, before returning to England to play for Championship side Wigan Athletic for the second half of the campaign.
